Communication and Language

“The development of children’s spoken language underpins all seven areas of learning and development” EYFS 2024. We ensure children have the opportunity to interact with adults and their peers throughout the day. Our environment is language-rich, supporting the development of children’s communication skills. This include our English as an Additional Language (EAL) children. We incorporate reading, singing rhymes and role play into our daily activities, providing children with opportunities to hear new words, build on their vocabulary and share ideas.
