We are looking for a dedicated Human Resource Advisor to join our team and support our growing organisation.
Job Summary: The Human Resource Advisor will be responsible for providing comprehensive HR support across all departments at The Light Academy. This role involves managing recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will be proactive, approachable, and possess excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screenings, interviews, and offers.
- Conduct new employee orientations and ensure a smooth onboarding process.
Employee Relations:
- Serve as the first point of contact for employees regarding HR-related queries and concerns.
- Address employee relations issues promptly and professionally, including conducting investigations and resolving conflicts.
Performance Management:
- Support managers in the performance appraisal process, providing guidance on setting objectives and conducting reviews.
- Assist in identifying training and development needs and implementing appropriate programmes.
Policy and Compliance:
- Ensure all HR policies and procedures are up-to-date and in line with current legislation.
- Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.
Benefits and Compensation:
- Administer employee benefits programmes, including health insurance, pensions, and other perks.
- Assist in the development and implementation of compensation strategies to attract and retain talent.
HR Projects and Initiatives:
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HR initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement and organisational culture.
- Participate in various HR projects as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CIPD qualification is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an HR advisory or generalist role.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
