Understanding the world involves guiding children to make sense of their physical world and their community (EYFS 2024). At TLA, we engage in a variety of activities to foster children’s understanding of the world. We read a wide range of books, encouraging discussions about families, nature, and the environment. Our visits to local parks, libraries, and farms provide firsthand experiences that connect learning to the real world. Additionally, we invite community helpers such as police officers, firefighters, and dentists to interact with the children. These interactions not only broaden their understanding but also inspire curiosity and respect for the professionals who serve our community.
